Finally some blog-worthy events.... Kamila's working at a fair in gloucestor this weekend (about a 10 minutes drive from us) so Jen, Rob and I swung down to see her...

Boredom..

Well, having only 14 hours to pass my time a week the boredom is setting in.. there's only so much cooking and cleaning i can do. Core- i finished all the books you left.. they were good, but didn't last too long

I really enjoyed Larry's Party.. i'm a fan of the feel good ending & this all happened was quite entertaining as well...

So i think i need some ideas on how to pass my time.... any ideas? even the internet media clips are getting sad and pathetic.. this was the best i could find. (although if you watch the Conan clip enough times it's actually hilarious!)

In other news i had a wonderful day yesterday- Kyle and I walked along the canal from parliament to Dows lake to check out the tulip festival.. it was great.. and we had fudge.

After, we watched the greatest movie of all time.. "girls just want to have fun." Sarah Jessica Parker pre-footloose and sex and the city!
Of course the 80's cheesy dance scenes (and sugary fudge) encouraged Kyle and I to have a dance off of our own- Pictures to follow!

Oh Ottawa- it's just sad.. eliminated on a short handed goal.. I don't think Ottawa could get past the second round if they were playing in a Tim Bits hockey league!

But at least that's the end of all those annoying "rev up the red" commericials!

What a week!

Nothing like a nice relaxing summer working at Pier One right? Only I just found out my manager was being "optimistic" when she promised me 30 hours a week... turns out they had to hire another manager who eats up 30 hours.. and i'm stuck with 15!

The desperate job search commences....

In other news- we're getting a barbeque tomorrow! it's mini... its charcoal... it sits on a table! and a router.. which means internet for me finally!

I (actually Core) had a thought- Christmas in July anyone? if people are free for canada day again everyone's welcome to stay here! (details to follow if people are interested)

So after about a week of moving (sans car- pictures to follow on Core's blog) the apartment is next to empty... and Core and her mom took off this morning.

I thought i was doing pretty well- sure i've lived with core for 4 years.. 3 different locations.. but she'll be back right? right.

Until i was left alone in the empty apartment.. belongings stacked in a shopping cart waiting to be pushed across the street in the rain. Who's going to reassure me my outfit doesn't look funny, and my insecurities are all in my head? Who's going to talk me out of the ugly running shoes with fur in them? There will be no one to take random pictures with Styrofoam swords... good lord- Kyle doesn't even LIKE the dollar store...
